I read a quote today that comes from The Gulistan, a landmark of Persian literature. It is a collection of poems and stories that is widely quoted as a source of wisdom. I really liked it so I thought I’d share it.
“I cried because I had no shoes until I saw a man who had no feet” (based on poetry from the Gulistan)
While one can despair about one’s wealth, there is always someone less fortunate… appreciate what you have and those who are in your life. Instead of wanting more, give more to those who need it because by giving, you will most definitely be receiving.
