He watched another man kiss her

He craved to be seen, but wasn’t

He wanted it to be him, but it wasn’t.

He watched another man kiss her

He desired to take her back, but didn’t

He wanted to interfere, but didn’t.

***

He watched another man kiss her

He yearned to begin a new life, but couldn’t

He wanted to erase his past, but couldn’t

The pain was inexplicable; tears kept shedding

But eventually he stopped suffering.

He was recovering, ultimately smiling,

He finally started LIVING.

This poem is inspired by the song ‘Dancing on my own’ by Calcum Scott. It came to me as I listened to this beautiful song so many times. My wysethoughts are that sometimes we endure so much pain on our hearts without understanding  why in the moment but with time, you heal and your mind becomes so much clearer. You allow yourself to live and to let life works it magic.  Sometimes its better than you think and the best things come find you … think of it as serendipity!
